From November 2018 to spring 2023, the fire protection and lighting systems were extensively renewed and extensive renovation work was carried out on the air conditioning system of the historic main post office building.
The renovation measures were funded by the national climate protection initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection and by the Landschaftsverband Rheinland.
