Successful cooperation with Martin von Tours Family Primary School Centre
Since February 2023, 20 children from the Martin von Tours School have been discovering and "inaugurating" the renovated and newly sorted workrooms in weekly meetings with the Mülheim artists and art educators Eva Henning and Marianne Goldbach. They learned various artistic techniques, for example creating fantasy animals and designing dandelion still lifes. Unfortunately, the children were not yet able to view any original artworks, as the art has not yet returned to the Alte Post due to the ongoing air-conditioning renovation. Nevertheless, the on-site meetings at the art museum and the artistic-practical activities were something very important and special for all participants.
The demand was so great that the places for the AG had to be raffled off. Plans are already underway to continue the cooperation after the summer holidays.
The exhibition will open on April 30, 2025 at 4 p.m. and will run from May 1 to September 17, 2025. The exhibition venue is the foyer of the Ruhr-West University of Applied Sciences, Parkstadt Mülheim, Wissolstraße 19
As part of its educational programme, the art museum offers art courses for children, young people and adults under the guidance of experienced art mediators, artists and art educators in the workrooms of the Mülheim an der Ruhr art museum as well as at the two external locations
The Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences and the Kunstmuseum cooperate on a permanent basis - a joint exhibition space at the Parkstadt Mülheim site opens in the summer semester.
